My CV
My professional journey began at The School of Visual Arts in New York City. Here, I learned the basics of filmmaking and screenwriting. I interned the next summer at The Gotham Group, a film production and literary management company in Hollywood, writing coverage for scripts and books and learning about the entertainment industry.
I realized that I wanted to inform my work not just by developing technical skills but also by greatly deepening my knowledge of the world. This led me to toward a BA in Humanities with an emphasis in Film Studies and Creative Writing and a minor in Creative Writing at the University of Colorado Boulder. This degree path took me from beginner fiction and poetry workshops through the most advanced writing workshops offered in the undergraduate school.
On top of honing my writing skills, the humanities major taught me about history, anthropology, art, music, games, and literature, as well as complex concepts about human experience like the nature of consciousness, burgeoning technology, narrative, world religions, and unique ideas about human culture.
I have loved video games since playing The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker on my gamecube I got for Christmas when I was 6 years old. I first starting writing game stories during my internship in Hollywood. After I made my first game I knew I wanted to work in the industry. Getting to work on interactive projects that bring beautiful and exciting experiences to players is a dream of mine.
